Adventure runner is an engine for textual adventures, written in C++. It allows to write your own adventure on a XML file (with a certain structure) and it’s also possible to organize the game world and the outputs printed on screen as you want. The system of input it’s based on a “Verb – Object” command: the verb is the action and the object is the thing on which the user wants to do the action.
At this stage is still a programmer side of tool. But if you can understand and create XML go ahead and use it!
I developed it entirely by myself as a “Master in Computer Game Development” project for two different courses (C++ basic, C++ advanced) adding features as I went through the requirements for the two different course projects.
